Can foreigners own real estate in Ukraine?

Yes, non-Ukrainian citizens are allowed to buy and own real estate in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Constitution guarantees equal rights and freedoms for all people, including the right to own property, regardless of their citizenship or place of residence.

Foreigners can purchase various types of real estate in Ukraine, including apartments, houses, land plots, and commercial properties, as well as other types of real estate. There are no restrictions on the number of properties that a foreigner can own in Ukraine.

However, there are some restrictions and requirements that foreigners must follow when buying real estate in Ukraine. For example, foreign buyers must obtain a Ukrainian tax identification number and register with the State Register of Rights to Property and Real Estate.

Additionally, non-residents may face certain limitations when it comes to purchasing certain types of land, such as agricultural or forest land.

It's important to note that the process of buying real estate in Ukraine can be complex and time-consuming, especially for foreign buyers. It's advisable to seek the assistance of a real estate agent and a legal professional to help navigate the process and ensure that all necessary requirements are met.
