New direct transport routes added from Ukraine to Poland
Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) have annonced a new routed between Kovel and Chelm. The city of Kovel is situated in Ukraine's north eastern Volyn district and a direct train will connect it to Chelm in eastern Poland.
Ukraine's state railway company has announced that this will be the first of a number of new routes between Ukraine and Poland designed to improve mobility between the two countries as well as Europe in general.
A spokesperson for the company stated that 'another step has been made towards Europe" and future routes are being planned to Bulgaria to the south, Hungary and Austria.
Ukrainian Railways established earlier in the year a new route between Kyiv and Przemysl, a Polish city on Ukraine's Western border which proved to be very popular.
Travellers can also reach Przemysl directly from Lviv with fares costing no more than 5 Euros.
